                              Physiology: The
particular interests are pollination and fertilization
processes that regulate final fruit set and yield
of fruit species (olives, cherries, almonds, etc).
The aim of the research is to elucidate the importance
of different reproductive processes in improvement
of fruit productivity. Sanitary assessment is also
a crucial factor influencing yield quality and quantity.
In Laboratory for tissue culture research interest
is focused on improving sanitary status of our commercially
most important fruit species (grapevine, citrus).
Infected cultivars are subjected to the pathogen
elimination procedure using plant tissue culture
techniques as the only tool for obtaining pathogen
                              free plants. |
