Soil microbiology:

The study of biodiversity and abundance of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in Dalmatian vineyards has been recently initiated. Attention is paid also to the influence of different neighbouring plant species on mycorrhizal development. The collection of indigenous AMF is in the process of establishment as a base for implementation of these strains on young grape seedlings.
