Technology Transfer

Technology transfer

The Institute actively connects scientific research with real-world needs. Our goal is to ensure that the knowledge we generate is accessible and useful – to farmers, producers, and local communities throughout the Adriatic region.

We place special emphasis on supporting small and family-run farms, particularly in island and karst areas. In collaboration with producers, we develop and test cultivation technologies tailored to local conditions and traditional Mediterranean crops such as olive, grapevine, fig, and pomegranate.

We also develop and apply advanced methods for monitoring and improving the quality of food products, including sensory analysis, antioxidant testing, oxidative stability, and nutritional profiling. This helps producers enhance product quality, comply with international standards, and improve market competitiveness.

Through workshops, consultations, and joint projects, the Institute shares knowledge, encourages innovation, and provides ongoing technical support. We see technology transfer not merely as technical assistance, but as a partnership in which science and practice work together to create solutions for more resilient and competitive agriculture.
