Research infrastructure

The Institute is equipped with modern infrastructure that enables complex, interdisciplinary research in agriculture, biotechnology, and forestry.

Our main research facility is located in Duilovo (Split), housing state-of-the-art laboratories, vegetative spaces, and an experimental olive mill. Laboratories are equipped for chemical, microbiological, and molecular analyses, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, PCR machines, microscopes, and photosynthesis measurement systems.

We also manage experimental fields in Duilovo and Kaštel Stari, where long-term and seasonal trials are conducted and collections of indigenous cultivars are maintained. These fields support selection, breeding, and the testing of agro-technical practices under real conditions.

Our work is based on the close link between scientific research and practical application. Through national and EU-funded projects, we continuously invest in upgrading our infrastructure, ensuring long-term support for scientific excellence and innovation.
